The Quirkiness Continues...

Upon first hearing this track, I was caught a little off guard. It's even more in-your-face than "Bucky Done Gun" or "Galang", but it has the same funky M.I.A. vibe. I can't wait for the release of her next album (Kala) which drops on August 21st in the states. I anticipate that it will be even more eclectic and danceable than Arular and some of the beats are also produced by Timbaland. "Boyz" is a great lead single choice. (Much better than the semi-released "Bird flu"). Go M.I.A.!

One Listen and You'll Be Hooked!

M.I.A. is great, fresh, and original, and her new track proves nothing less! "Boyz" is a ton of fun, lots of crazy M.I.A.-ness in it, and definetly worth a listen. Its such a shame that nobody really can put their finger on her and figure out what she's like because she deserves all the recognition possible! Definetly give this song a listen, and you'll be a hooked M.I.A. fan!

Boyz is great and Kala will be awesome!

Boyz is a really cool song and video, and Kala, the album that it is from, will be the best album of the year. M.I.A. always has the coolest sounds, beats, and lyrics. The album is going to come out August 21, I think.

If you read a lot about new music on the Web, odds are pretty good that, at some point between the September 2004 release of "Galang" and the March 2005 release of Arular, you were struck with the urge to turn your computer off or maybe even heave it out of a nearby window. If you don't read a lot about new music on the Web, the preceding sentence indicates how bewildering and draining the chatter about M.I.A. became. Arular, M.I.A.'s first album, leaked well before its official release, allowing...
