Customer Reviews

Unique and Stunning

Aloha display their high level of musicianship on Some Echoes; a collection of songs that are varied in timbre, instrumentation, tempo, and mode. This album leaves nothing to be desired. The vocals are clear, dynamic, and harmonic. The recording is superb. Mellow, mellow music (for the most part) contrasted with some of the heavier songs on their last release, Here Comes Everyone. It seems Aloha really looked to their roots to put this release out, and the results are stunning; the continued use of the organ throughout compliments the keyboard percussion with varied tone colours. A great release from a great band; worth more than every cent.

Another Awesome Aloha Album

Seriously, this record rules. "Brace Your Face", "Your Eyes", "Between the Walls" and "Mountain" are my favorites. I bought Some Echoes during SXSW and it hasn't left my CD player since.

Indeed A2R

There is a special place for albums that make your entire body smile, this one dwells there. Some of the most professional composition on an "indie" album heard in many years. Wonderfully orchestrated.
