Album Review

Fantasy's 11-track Greatest Hits doesn't dig much deeper than the hits, but it does contain all six of her charting singles, notably "Band of Gold," "Deeper and Deeper," and "Bring the Boys Home," plus five other fine singles and album tracks from her Invictus recordings. Yes, the aforementioned blockbusters shine the brightest here, but the rest of this is, at its worst, simply pleasant '70s soul, which means there are a few minor gems to be discovered here.

Finally! The Original Version!

I've been waiting for the original version of "Band of Gold" to show up on iTunes for quite a while. This is it. Ignore the others which appear to be re-recordings.

FINALLY! The ORIGINAL "Band of Gold". Thank you itunes.

Not that karaoke junk that K-Tel and Madacy are pushing, but the original version we all know and love. You can still feel her heart breaking with every note. Its about time itunes listened to the people.

Band of Gold is Priceless !

I'd like to thank the record company, Freda Payne and I-Tunes for finally giving us the original version of this classic. I'm glad I held out.
