Customer Reviews

Nick Swardson is the next big thing in comedy

I love this man, he doesn't get the credit he deserves. Everything that he's been in, Reno 911, Grandma's Boy, Benchwarmers, even the small parts he has(Blades of Glory, Click, I Now Pronouce You Chuck and Larry) he steals the spotlight in every scene he's in. My favorite jokes on the cd are the cat one of course (classic), the opening skit is pretty funny, i always loved his old people bit and the dying/funeral one.

Great Debut

Todd LeRoy Cummings you obviously have something against Nick. He has both specials he's done and the live CD that has a ton of new material, not on the specials. It's his debut album so of course he's going to put all the stuff he's been touring with. AND he has sketches with David Spade, Andy Samberg, etc....what other CD has that? You're saying it's one of the worst? You're a moron and your review is obviously personal. He probably boned your girlfriend and your mom. Great CD Nick.

Nick Swardson needs new material

This CD is the same tired collection of jokes he's been touring with for a decade now. Not a single new bit to be found on "Party," making it one of the worst comedy CDs of the year. Strictly for people new to Nick's comedy, and even those people are certain to find recycled jokes. Nick Swardson needs to write new jokes. Or perhaps this is the best he can do. Time will tell, but 10 years in and this is his only CD? It's doesn't look promising, folks. Seriously...the John Stamos routine is on this CD. That's the level of laziness encountered.

Genre: Comedy

Comedian/actor/writer Nick Swardson began playing St. Paul, MN's comedy club circuit when he was only 18. His mix of trashy and silly caught on quick, and with only two years under his belt, he was off to New York City, landing gigs at the Comic Strip and Caroline's. Numerous late-night television talk show appearances led to his own half-hour standup special on Comedy Central in 2000. He soon moved to Los Angeles to focus on acting and writing. The year 2003 was a breakthrough year, with Swardson...
