There will never be enough said about the life altering band that is The Receiving End Of Sirens. If their music hasn't moved you in some way, redefined how you think of music, or completely blown you away at one of their shows, then you are missing a soul (and have crappy taste in music). This re-release with their new single "Weightless Underwater" still takes my breath away the same way when I first heard "Broadcast Quality" at my friend's house all those many years ago. Since BTHATS was released (and MiFaMi), TREOS has never left my ipod, and a day has not gone by where at least one of their songs was played in my car.

P.S. "Weightless Underwater" is the p.e.r.f.e.c.t mix of BTHATS and MiFaMi.

not supposed to be anythng new

it's a re-release. not to gain fame, but to give the fans a little taste of TREOS again after such a long break. this could mean more from them. if so, i'll be the happiest person ever. the new single released with the re-release is definitely of high quality, even though it sounds a bit different than anything they made before. if you don't have the original album already, buy this one for sure. if you do, buy Weightless Underwater and check out the videos. definitely worth every penny from an outstanding band.

you get half

alrighty these guys are awesome. They opened back in 05/06, with this album. They made a follow up album, but it wasnt as good or as close to being good as their first. With desperare attempts to regain their original fame, they did a re release of this album with some aditional songs but the only "new" song on here is weightless underwater.

Boston's the Receiving End of Sirens preferred the first-name-only approach. In 2003 Alex, Andrew, Brendan, Casey, and Nate put out a self-released, self-titled EP that defined their approach to the post-hardcore/emo axis. Triple Crown Records noticed, and signed the band up. Their full-length debut, Between the Heart and the Synapse, appeared in April 2005, and TREOS enjoyed comparisons to contemporaries like Thrice, Mae, and Emery. Much touring ensued and, by the fall of 2006, the guys welcomed...
