Customer Reviews

A "must have" for all violinists

Back in the 80s it was very hard to find the scores for these marvelous works let alone recordings. The British Library was the only reliable source for me along with letters to and from the great man misclassified and forgotten. How wonderful to have instant access to a fresh and unassuming presentation of the pieces all in one collection and for so little outlay? Accardo is perfect for these fresh sounds - all music and no self. Kurt - its always Kurt who champions the little heard and brings greatness to what are in reality very difficult pieces to do justice to. Just remember who the pieces were written for and the competition for great violinists at the time.

Beautiful Music

This album is a good buy with all 3 concertos plus the Serenade and the Scottish Fantasy and the music is gorgeous.

I was in my church a week ago wher a local cello player did play: Bruch: Violin Concerto, Op. 26, Double Concerto, Op. 88 & Kol Nidrei. I was so amaced ! So I started looking for more Max Bruch music and found this pack of his music on iTunes. I must say : This is a listning plesure.
