The single edit of "Burden" takes away from the beauty of the full song. So to me that track is a throw away, but the other 2 are treats. The track "Mellotron Heart" is an alternate recording of the song "Porcelain Heart" which was originally only available through the bands website on the first 300 pre-orders of the album! So i was shocked to see that song included on here. Then there's the song "Would?" which is a cover song, originally performed by Alice In Chains. For the hardcore Opeth fan (like myself) this is an essential missing piece to the puzzle. The more Opeth the better!

Let's get something straight people

#1- Burden is an edit, so yes of course it's boring #2- Mellotron Heart is a remix of Porcelain Heart, played on a mellotron, AND is shorter than the original... so YES of course it's not that great. #3- The cover of AIC's "Would?" is pretty interesting to say the least. It's your own opinion on Opeth's take but there's no denying that it's a respectable and solid cover song at least. This EP is nothing really new (except for the long awaited cover of Would?), and it shouldn't take that much to figure it out. Nothing more than an "extras" album with an edit, a remix, and a cover. Stop your whining. Opeth is no less amazing than they have been in the past, and that's what matters. Thanks, and Opeth, thanks for finally releasing Would?. Splendid job!

Entire album: rip off.. Track 3: good!!

Track 1: Shortened version of "Burden". BUY THE ORIGINAL INSTEAD! Track 2: Remix of "Porcelain Heart" that in my opinion isn't worth a listen. I want that 5 minutes of my life back Opeth! Track 3: A faithful cover of "Would?" by Alice in Chains, and worth buying!

Formed: 1990 in Stockholm, Sweden

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

Brought together in Stockholm by guitarists Peter Lindgren and Mikael Åkerfeldt in 1990, Opeth added progressive influences and acoustic instrumentation to their brand of Swedish death metal. As the group progressed, it was very common for an Opeth live set to fly in several different musical directions -- and an average song lasted no less than ten minutes. Impressed by their originality, Candlelight Records released their debut full-length in 1995, which was titled Orchid, and featured a rhythm...
