This Was A Landmark Album, Period!

This was by all means a truly adventurous and explosive 7 Seconds album. The soundtrack to my summer that year(1989, the year listed as 1987 is incorrect), and every summer since. An album that sparked a change in me, and the way I looked at my favorite punk bands. 7 Seconds is now, as they were then, and as they were the day they released "the Crew" a Classic band of any genre. A great band on record, and even better band live. From "Satyagraha", an anthem type song if there ever was one, to the awesome emotion filled wonder of "4 a.m. in Texas", this is just great Rock! I loved, and still love this album, every great song on it. I always asked(Okay, begged) Kevin Seconds to do a show(or tour) playing the trifecta of classic 7 Seconds albums, "Ourselves", Soulforce Revolution" and "Out The Shizzy". That would be a perfect world

one of my most listened to albums

makes me think of high school all over again...

All they know is that is has a great sound. Just because you can understand what Seconds is saying doesn't mean it isn't punk. I say give it a chance if you're a true fan.

Formed in the early '80s, the hardcore punk band 7 Seconds has been among the longest lived of any group from the first wave of Cali punk (forming in Reno, NV, and eventually relocating to Sacramento), though frontman Kevin Seconds has proved to be the only consistent member; changes during the mid-'80s moved guitarist Bobby Adams, drummer Troy Mowat, and bassist Steve Youth (Seconds' brother) into the lineup. The group released several 7" singles just after forming, and Seconds signed the band to...
