Erykah knows how you feel

If you're having troubling making sense of love in a digital age, Erykah Badu knows exactly how you feel. Love is more and more often an experience of missed phone calls and unanswered text messages. Erykah Badu wants you to know she's lonely and the buzzing rectangle in her pocket isn't helping. What perhaps makes this album the most interesting is the duet with Andre 3000 in "Hello" at the end of the album. A lot has changed since Erykah and Andre had a child together over a decade ago. It's a testament to Erykahs frustration with how much the whole world seems to be leaving her behind that the mixtape ends with her and Andre's pleas that things will just stay the same. Just trying to express love in language the 21st century can understand

Get it

Get this record. It's short, it's experimental, it's got great beats, deals with some serious social commentary, is fun, but most of all its BADU. If you're looking at it you already know Badu, and if you know her you need to own all of her records.

As a faithful Erykah Badu fan..

The news of this mixtape made me extremely happy! Especially when I found out my all time fave Andre3000 was on this album. I bought it right away and listened to every song straight through. I am so sad to say, I really didn't feel what I usually feel with Badu on it. It felt extra produced and auto tuney, not the amazing raw sound she usually has. The beats were amazing, I just wish I could feel more raw Badu!
