C.F.Kip Winger: Conversations with Nijinsky, Ghosts & A PArting Grace

To be honest, I stumbled upon this work of art quite by mistake. While reliving my youth and listening to you tube videos of several 80's metal hair bands, one artist stood apart from the rest. His band was far superior to those in that era. Their combined talent as musicians shone through in every album. I began to delve into Kip Winger's solo works, only to discover his profound experience of love and loss, so selflessly shared with the world. The enormity of such emotion left me without words.
And, a few videos down, was an interview with Kip Winger, sharing his news of the release of his classical CD, Conversations With Nijinsky. Kip asked his fans to purchase his latest work, and because I so respespected him as an artist, I ordered the CD. Having never been drawn to classical music, I always assumed that anything a composer intended to convey to the listener would surely be lost upon my untrained ear. Certain that I would never feel the emotion set forth in this form of music, I gave it a listen, anyway.
I listened. I cried. I felt every emotion set forth. Perhaps because I knew a bit of history from the composer's experience. Perhaps because it spoke to every fiber of my being. To know that I could listen to each movement, and see and feel the part each instrument contributed to the piece was incredible.
How remarkable to be able to share this music with fans of your rock era, only to have them be completely enamoured with your classical works.
Well done, sir. Well done.
