EDITORS’ NOTES

On his self-titled debut EP, Indiana-born country singer Caleb Daugherty pays homage to his roots while still striking a modern tone. It's not hard to imagine the easy-rolling "Get a Lotta’ Living Done" or the wistful torch song "When I Get Over You" coming from the likes of George Strait, but Daugherty's comfort when singing about the apps on his phone ("I'm Outta’ Here") and navigating the blend of synths and twang on "Hometown Girl" mark him as man who keeps it current.
