chill music

Easy music, good for a road trip, (I'm prob gonna jam out to this while I'm cleaning house -__-) My only complaint is that he sounds SOOOO much better live!! (Can I just carry him around in my pocket? lol) Catch him and the expendables and iration on their domination tour if you can, its an amazing line up. ;)

Great album of Summer jams...

Cisco was always my favorite half of Schwayze. I loved his smooth and mellow vocals that brightened up the fairly competent and relatively less annoying rapping of Schwayze. So it's no surprise, then, that a Cisco solo album would be even better. There's more singing, more beach, and less rap.

This album is full of good Summer jams despite the unfortunate timing of the relase just after the season of it's usefulness. Almost every song sends a great message and imparts a chilled vibe even though the lyrics and mentality are a little dumbed down. That's probably just the rap-influence making it a little low brow - the shadow of the Shwayz...

For as much as I like his tunes and how perfect they are for Summer, he does come off as a bit skeezy, however. He conjures up an image of those sweaty, creepy guys you see in clubs trying to grind up on girls that don't know him and didn't solicit it. Like someone that is just sure that he's a gift to women even though that's not necessarily true. Again, this is also a hallmark of 99.9% of rappers. So it's probably just the rap culture still stuck to him that I don't like.

This album isn't pefect, but it is great. It's a superb effort and about as good as possible for his style of music. Most of these songs are strong 3 star to weak 4 star songs. A pefect album has lots of 5 star songs. The best songs on here are 4 star songs. Except for Classic. That tune IS classic. It represents the best of Cisco's work and is the sole 5 star song on the album. Try You is another one of my favorites. It sounds different than most of his work, but i like it. He sounds like a cross between Red Hot Chili Peppers and Sugar Ray on that one.

The stats for this album are as follows: one 5 star song, six 4 star songs, six 3 star songs, and one 2 star song in Boom. Not a single throwaway in the bunch.

ALOHA

Perfect album to keep the aloha summer vibes going into the fall and winter seasons!
