Customer Reviews

3 stars for the audio, 10 stars 'cause it's DH

Being a DH fan since 1989 thanks to Metallica I have bought all of their albums, reissues, alternate versions of albums etc. This concert from the tour in support of their third album "Canterbury" shows a band far removed from their DIY NWOBHM roots. This is a lighter pop version of the band complete with keyboards (horror of horrors) but it's the historic factor that makes this priceless. It features 15 songs tracks 2, 4, 7, 8, 10, 13 and 14 are from the album "Canterbury".

I give it 5 stars because that's all I can. I give the audio 3 stars because it sounds like the audio is taken from a VHS copy of a TV broadcast. I give it 10 stars for the fact it is historic Diamond Head, the last time Sean and Brian would work together until 1993. IF you like DH like I do and are more than a casual "Am I Evil", "The Prince", "It's Electric" and "Helpless" fan you should invest the money. If for no other reason that it's historic.

Sounds metal editor Geoff Barton (the man who coined the phrase N.W.O.B.H.M. in the first place) once remarked that "there are more good riffs in your average single Diamond Head song than there are in the first four...
