Everything's Gone Green

1st track derivative of early New Order. Not a bad thing per se. Just mining gold nuggets from the late 1900's. Don't get me wrong. It's still gold but it's really old gold. As in closing in on four decades old. That is real fn old.

To put it in perspective, imagine New Order putting out something in 1983 that sounded a lot like Benny Goodman or Glenn Miller. See my point? Ian Curtis' rotten corpse would come back to try to stop something that profoundly dumb from happening. Zombie Ian would show up uninvited at the recording sessions and moan slightly off key his displeasure until a drunk Peter Hook threw a brick at his skull to shut him up.

2nd track plods along meandering on a riff and not much of a riff at that.

Sadly, after North American Scum, I haven't heard anything vital, lean, mean, & hungry from LCD. Send your mother home your navel James Murphy. You need real, not wax fangs to leave a mark on the neck of cursed earth 2017.

Put your weight on it bruv. I know you can cause we've heard you do it in a mind blowingly great way before. We're all pulling for you. Do it.

New Sound

This is the LCD we all know but with a little more reverb and dreaminess. AND IT IS AWESOME. Cant wait for the album!

Love it

Call The Police. Just saw this song performed on SNL & went straight to iTunes and purchased it! Dope

A self-effacing spoof of the outrageous pissing contests that often occur whenever music geeks cross paths ("I was there at the first Can show in Cologne," etc.) laid over a puttering electronic beat with the occasional bursts of discoid clatter, the track was also one of the first released on the DFA label. Several magazines and newspapers would eventually declare James Murphy,...
