great country album by Jesse Dayton... a must for any country music fan.

Country Roots Chameleon

Jesse can fill a honky tonk dance floor, rock hard in a smokey club or croon a smooth duet with a female partner. That's because he knows and loves music. This one lives up to the title. Nice breath of warm Texas air released in the middle of a cold winter. Oh yeah...he's a heck of a picker too. C'mon back to Green Bay for a show when it warms up man....

Raised in Beaumont, TX, near the childhood home of George Jones, Jesse Dayton grew up on the hardcore honky tonk of Jones, Hank Williams, Sr., and Lefty Frizzell, but also blues artists such as Lightnin' Hopkins and Mance Lipscomb. During the late '80s and early '90s Dayton fronted two rockabilly bands, the Roadkings and the Alamo Jets, playing around the state in honky tonks and dives.
