EDITORS’ NOTES

In the hands of superproducers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, New Edition graduated from boy band to serious players on their fifth album. Heart Break’s blend of new jack swing smoothness, hip-hop swagger, and soaring harmonies peaks on tracks like the feisty “If It Isn’t Love” and the breezily funky “N.E. Heart Break." The sparkling “Can You Stand the Rain” showcases new member Johnny Gill’s husky roar, contrasting it with Ricky Bell’s searching croon and Ralph Tresvant’s silky tenor.

How do you rate the best of the best.

What can you say about a group that started it all, not New Kids On the Block but New Edition, And this album proves it. The boys are all grown up and kickin butt on this album and with the editon of Johnny Gill they are firmly proving that they are here too stay a must have for an NE fan new or old.

Classic 80s R&B

If you came of age during the 80s, this was one of THE albums of the late 80s. Brings back great memories of my high school days!!! Possibly the best NE album ever!
