EDITORS’ NOTES

With Justin Timberlake’s unstoppable Trolls track “CAN’T STOP THE FEELING!” and The Chainsmokers’ pleading “Don’t Let Me Down” leading the way, this entry in the NOW series spotlights massive hits from pop’s biggest names. Beats and boasts rule, with tracks like Sia’s fun-on-a-budget anthem “Cheap Thrills,” Fifth Harmony’s sneakily seductive “Work from Home,” and Mike Posner’s head-spinning “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” providing sing-along choruses and body-rocking rhythms.

Best release of the year

PamelaMoore,

I wasn't too impressed by the last "Now" album, but this one definitely tops it, and in my opinion is the best Now release of the year. It features a good mix of older and newer songs, but even the older songs haven't been too overplayed yet. The only overplayed song would be "Can't Stop The Feeling!", but it's still enjoyable. I'm surprised Twenty One Pilots didn't make it, but it could be a copyright thing like with Adele and Rihanna. Overall this is a solid release and I would be likely to recommend this album. 10/10

Album of The Summer!

xcekrma,

Over the course of 59 NOW albums, there is bound to be some ups and downs. NOW 57 was strong, NOW 58 was just ok...but NOW 59 is about as good as anyone could possibly expect. If you know what NOW is supposed to be--a look at current and recent big pop hits and cultural moments--NOW 59 really nails it. As usual, some people who hate pop music will bash it, which really isn't the point. If you don't like pop music, don't buy NOW. If you do, this is your album. NOW 59 does exactly what a NOW album should do, and does it perfectly. 5 STARS
