Rare Lobo

First let me give some respect to drummer, Claudio SLON. Now to the music, much of which lobo had recorded elsewhere, including the gem 'Sergio Mendes Presents.." "Casa Forte" is likely his most familiar, but "Zanzibar" is, by title, the most rewarding. Herb Albert did another tune with the same name, as did Billy Joel. This version, however, is so uplifting.

"Na Fiera de Santarem" is my favorite in this wonderful collection. I certainly love the version of "Contiga de Longe" on the Mendes A&M issue better, but this has some primal roots I like too.

This is a great collection piece, but not the polished sound I hear from other Lobo efforts, so purists might like it. Edo Lobo is one of the much understated genius' of the genre.
