I am a musician and once played an orchestral version of the "Pie Jesu" from the Requiem. Since then I knew Faure was a good composers. The other day I saw the ballet Emeralds by George Balanchine and I was taken away in awe and beauty by the music of the ballet. I looked and found out that it was Faure's "Pelleas et Melisande". I then bought this album and consider the Requiem and Pelleas et Melisande to be some of the most beautiful music by one of Frances greatest composers. I HIGHLY recommend this Album. Neville Marriners interpretations are beautiful and the sound quality is wonderful. Best recording you can get!
