Impressive!

Gabrieli's name alone conjures the sight and sounds of cathedrals in my mind. I have several collections of his music transcribed for brass including other performances of the composer by Empire Brass. This particular collection by the outstanding Empire is both interesting and rewarding. The powerful "edge" of Gabrieli's passion is evident in this recording. A better than expected ensemble combined with the works of a genius...not bad for the price.

Empire Brass Has Class!

Thrilling sound; the antiphonal brass renderings of Gabrieli The Great.

The glory of early music for brass

This is my favorite recording of early music written for brass.
Gabrielli was a master at capturing the regal, sacred effects of music for brass.
Definitely worth a preview and purchase.
