best electronic record in years
edIT rocks the floors of LA weekly. To say his style is unique is an understatement. I don't want to even try and describe the sound. If you like hip hop, click hop, breaks, electronic, or so called "experimental music" CHECK IT. Make sure to buy the whole album in order to get the bonus 48 min megamix wich reminds me of his live set.
edIT does it again
Tell your friends; this is probably one of the wildest rides your ears have taken in a while. This album is a raw example of edIT's true talents, and yet, it's also incredibly well thought out. You can clearly see how edIT has matured as an artist since his last album. Listeners of "Crying Over Pros" may find this new album slightly disorienting at first, as it's a far more uptempo. This time, he takes his extremely intricate and very technical beats and drops them in hot dance tracks. The result is something you won't be able to stop shakin' your groove-thang to. The mix tape bonus feature, as others have mentioned, is probably one of the most enjoyable parts of the album. Don't be fooled by the idea of a DJ mixing his own work-- edIT puts in the same meticulous effort you'd expect as if it were someone else's music. It's very interesting to see the inrepretation of his very own work, and to see what it sounds like when passed in for another round in the mixer. What a great album!
Certified Air Raid Material
huge drop wobblies all mashed and gnashed up in some sort of MATRIX silly-putty office shredder glitch da-vinci style bringing 'parting shot' anti-war consciousness and lyricism from hip hop to crunk de gaulle... you'll most definitely want this one if you like ediT, glitch, booty-shaking bass! if you haven't had a chance to rock out to ediT live, then go see a show! that's what i'm talking about!
