Beautiful brutality

This album, along with the preceding Chapter 1, is the midnight lullaby for the metal-head. The deep, drawn-out gutturals express a sense of anguish and despair while the slow rhythm and melodies of the music are beautiful, soothing, chaotic and heart wrenching. I listen to both Chapters of Colosseum's serene wickedness every night and hungrily await for the release of the 3rd and final Chapter. (Rest in peace Juhani Palomäki, the metal community has lost a life, legend and epitome of Funeral Doom.)

"Demons Swarm By My Side," seems like the catchy part two of Chapter 1's immaculate "Weathered" and is my personal favorite song. Every single track is unique and amazing, though... and if you are a fan of Funeral Doom or just metal in general, this album (along with Chapter 1: Delirium) is a must buy.
