How could you not love Dave?

Dave and I met in highschool. We had a few classes together, but it wasn't until Matt Radosevich asked me to come to his house cause Dave and original STN Drummer Stefan had been jamming on some songs that Dave had written. We arranged a few songs and decided on Street to Nowhere, after the street that Stefan lived on, Camino Lenada. After highschool we kinda all went our separate ways, but Dave pushed on with his solo accoustic project, keeping the name intact. He played tons of shows in the two years from when we disbanded and when the record came out, and the quality of the songs on this record shows he's been practicing all day, cause that's just how dave is... hard working and talented. good work dude...

Great Melodic Punk!

This album is the first release from Street To Nowhere since the original lineup was disbanded, leaving only Dave Smallen. For years he has been writing new songs and preforming both acousticly and on occasion, with a full band, all around the East Bay area and beyond; creating a cult following for himself. It has led up to this album, if you like melodic punk from a man who actually knows how to play his guitar and how to sing, then you will love this album. Its has good elements of east bay punk, as you can tell from songs like 'Waste My Life For You' and 'Miss Rolling Eyes', it also has heartwrenching acoustic tracks like 'Georgia Can You Hear Me' and 'The Sun'. Overall, while some have criticized it for being uneven in terms of the sound, the differences add color and character to the alum, which is a refreshing sound after the last 10 years of corperate punk that has plagued the music world! Dave Smallen has played shows with the likes of: Reel Big Fish, The Matches, Nerf Herder, OK GO and other times with Singer/Songwriters like Katie Melua, David Dondero, and Rocky Vatolato.
