Album Review

An EP features her two best-known hits of the 1980s, "Baby I Lied" and "I've Been Wrong Before." It's sweeter and softer-edged than her '90s work.

If you are looking for the original version of Baby I Lied look no further

The songs on here sound better than they ever have. This is the first time the entirety of this mini album is available in a digital format. It includes 3 of her biggest hits, the signature smash Baby I Lied, I've Been Wrong Before, and I Hurt For You. These 3 songs have been rerecorded on numerous releases, including nearly all versions that I have found available for download. This is the only release currently available digitally that contains the original versions of all three of these songs. Also, Fools Paradise and What's The Matter With Me are making their first appearance on any digital media format. The 3 hits, along with Cheat the Night, had been previously available on Deborah's Anthology cd, but that CD is now out of print. Now, we get the entirety of Deborah's landmark album for a low price. Major props to Legacy recordings for cleaning these up nicely and finally making them all available digitally. Hopefully, Let Me Be The First and Telepathy (Hey Baby!) will be making a digital appearance soon.

Cheat the night

I was so excited to find this EP on iTunes! I can remember singing every song looking into the mirror, I was 8 :-). Such a good time, good vocals amd songs. Classic eightes country. Had Juice Newton not been the Queen of Country in the eightes, Deborah Allen would be right there along with Roseanne Cash and Janie Fricke to take the crown.
