Downset is a great band if you need to get fired up! This album is excellent and Test of My Heart is a sick song!

This is easily Downset's best CD as far as music - every song is good. Their lyrics are still socially aware and put just about every other band to shame.

Check Your People!

People check out this Downset album! I originally bought this album shortly after its release in Norfolk, Va and lost it/someone borrowed it forever about a year later. I have been looking for it ever since and struck gold tonight....thank you itunes for coming through. Although I do not agree with Hu_man's statment that this is Downset's best album, this album is kick a*s hardcore at its best (at least for the time period). The guitar work in "Check Your People" is on par with the guitar work on the self titled LP "Downset" and "Do We Speak a Dead Language," which, if you ask me, is what really sets aside Downset from other hardcore bands. In short, hardcore fans, Downset's albums "Do We Speak a Dead Language" and "Check Your People" are a must them now, you won't be disappointed. And while you are at it, get Lamb of God's live LP "Killadelphia." quote Matt Rys "If it doesn't get your blood boiling, you don't have a pulse." -Enjoy

Composed of vocalist Rey Oropeza, guitarists Ares Schwager and Rogelio "Roy" Lozano (the latter of whom has also worked as Cypress Hill's touring guitarist), bassist James Morris, and drummer Chris Lee, Downset perfected...
