Just buy Half Crazy

I haven't listened to most of the songs on this album since back in the day but if you get one song get Half Crazy. That song alone is all you need. Better than most songs you'll hear even today.

Excellent album for the time (1985) it was released

It baffles me how someone could actually think this is a bad album. What you have to remember is that this album was released in 1985 when music/ r&b had a different feel. The fact is that Johnny Gill can flat out sing. When people have such strong voices, the song always sounds good...the arrangement may be bad, the lyrics may be bad, but a voice is a voice is a voice. Vocally talented!!

What in the?.....

I consider myself having a lot of musick knowledge / trivia in me,...but I did NOT know that Johnny Gill had anything to do with this album. I would bet he doesnt like to remember it. I downloaded it his 1990 album and he joined New Edition in 1987 to replace Bobby,............but this is whack to say the least. Why put this on here i-tunes? Especially in 2008, dont tell me someone when and SEARCHED for this to sell.

His solo career began in 1983, when he signed to the Atlantic-affiliated Cotillion label and scored a number 29 R&B hit with his first single, the Freddie Perren-produced "Super Love." Even then, Gill had a mature and muscular voice — one that sounded more...
