I feel it

First of all. This is a soundtrack for a movie. In which nick cannon is acting so I assume he has songs his character has. So stop tripping bout that.
Second of all I'm glad to see spike again in this way. We can possibly see another do the right thing for this generation.
Also I'm interested by the Trojan war aspect to the movie.
And lastly people who are tripping about Chiraq vs Chicago don't even understand the point. One dude here points out he's from Chicago and that stuff doesnt happen where he lives
-_____-
That's one of the lines from the trialers. The people from that part of Chicago aren't living in our Chicago. They live in "Chiraq". It's like south central. It's ignorant for someone from Beverly Hills say that south central ain't in LA. That's ridiculous to the utmost ignorant degree.

sanity check your impulse-buy

Don’t buy this album unless you seek to encourage contemporary mass-media sensationalism.

There’s some well "produced" music here to be sure. BUT, where are the mainstream conscious-rap artists from Chicago that would actually command our attention - Lupe Fiasco, Common, dare I say Kanye? Don’t be impressed with the pseudo-house beats R Kelly is trying to drop to distract you from the 10-cent lyrics he’s reciting. Nor the blues-esque feel of “born-in-Chicago;” listen to Eric Clapton’s track on Chitown, Sinatra, or Smashing Pumpkins if you want to FEEL the sentiment Chicago evokes. Read about Muddy Waters or Buddy Guy and how they felt about the city.

And to draw a comparison to Iraq? This is beyond ludicrous and offensive. We are aware of what DAESH is doing in that country to Iraqis and Kurds, no? Or has Mayor Emmanuel directed the systematic execution of political opponents and religious outliers? Right, check your sanity…

Although, if you can’t discern the perceptibly shallow substance of this album just by listening to the first track, then please, by all means, give them your money - they deserve it at that point.
