I'm so excited about this, I have her other EP but have been anxious to get my hands on some of the songs on this new one. I saw her perform them live and had been hunting for them ever since. My particular faves are Chicago and Poison, but honestly the whole thing is pure greatness. Sweet and clear like the first EP but I do like the little added orchestrations here as well. Can't wait for more!

LWR is love

This EP is absolutely fantastic! Everytime I listen, I get so wrapped up in the stories that Lucy tells in these songs. It's not hard to find a common ground with the characters she sings of. They seem so real. So absolutely alive. They make me smile with complete happiness & they tug at my heart strings all at once. But it's not at all a sad or heartbreaking sort of thing, it's more of a triumph. Joyful. Songwriting of this brilliance is rare these days. Lucy's voice is simple and pure. One of the sweetest sounds in my music collection. And how can you not love a duet with Martha Plimpton?

if comfort food were music it would be this!

her voice, her songs, her music... is like a cup of tea with milk and treacle after a long cry... a hug from your mom after you've repeatedly said you're OK!... a laugh with your best friend... and the tranquility of a walk in the woods...! and martha plimpton on hungry heart ain't no slouch!!! she adds a richness like mole sauce on tamales!!! am so glad these albums are on iTunes- buy them! you'll feel better after listening!!
