Live In Japan

When you put up something like this that is extrodinary, you need to put up the complete set. You can buy this complete on line. Please upload the entire 3 disc set and i will be the first one to buy the best live album of all time!!

Not Complete, But It's Repeat Anyway! The First Night....

I have this set complete. It's greatness galore. Deep Purple fans will know what this is right on the spot. So, what is here that we must see? Non-overdubbed concerts! The first night for me is the best and is a warm welcome to Japan. It may not have "Smoke On The Water", but it does sure have "Highway Star" and a much superior version of "Black Night" that Deep Purple needs. It would be a repeat to say what has been said about "Made In Japan", and Richie's genius ways of transforming songs with loads of improv have already been complimented. So I'll leave it at that and let you know the 2nd night isn't complete, but the 1st and 3rd are worth the look and 6.91 each.

Japan Recordings

The original Made in Japan release is my favorite. The selections from the three shows were the best for me. This collection completes the Japan shows but it would be cool if they were all on one release. For me, this is Deep Purple at their pinnacle of energy and performance as all are different. It doesn't get any better than this.

Deep Purple survived a seemingly endless series of lineup changes and a dramatic mid-career shift from grandiose progressive rock to ear-shattering heavy metal to emerge as a true institution of the British hard rock community; once credited in The Guinness Book of World Records as the globe's loudest band, their revolving-door roster launched the careers of performers including Ritchie Blackmore, David Coverdale, and Ian Gillan. Deep Purple were formed in Hertford, England, in 1968, with an inaugural...
