Evocative playing

I just purchased this album and have found that Helen Grimaud is an exceptional pianist. She's the right pianist for these two concerti. I've purchased Bach piano pieces as well(also available in the Itunes store). Mozart can be molodic, weightless and delightful all in the same concerto and Helen brings it to the forefront nicely especialy in the 2nd movement of the 23 concerto. Mozart has been my favorite composer for over 30 years now and the more I listen the more I grow to appreciate his works. There are other pieces the listener can listen to get a good idea just how much Mozarts works have a unfulfilable longing in a divine sense. The 2nd movement of the 23 concerto bears this out quite strikingly. So if you love Mozart's piano concerto's then this would be a good addition to your classical library.

Amazing performance

Yet again, Hélène has blown me away with this beautiful interpretation of these pieces by Mozart! Mozart is one of my most favored composers, and as consequence I judge harshly those who play (including myself) Mozart, but Hélène has shown no flaws in my book! I will be listening to this for years to come and not tire!

Grimaud's lush sound and sweeping interpretations drew comparisons to such pianists as Martha Argerich and Jorge Bolet. An "agitated and agitating" child by her own admission, Grimaud started studying the piano at nine at the Aix Conservatoire,...
