Time To Stop...

I really love Aretha Franklin that's why I'm so disappointed. Is it me or has she lost her voice over the last few years. It's torture listening to the once soulful singer crank out these cackling whiners of songs. She just can't do it no more.

Awful!

I don't know why such a well regarded artist is just singing timeless Christmas songs so haphazardly. You aren't able to hear what she's singing and the words are just rushed over, almost like she only had mintues to put this album together or she learned the songs as she was recording them. This is just awful for her. I knew things where going down hill when she threw together the words to "My Country Tis Of Thee" at the Presidential Inauguration. I guess it should be time to call it quits.

aretha sounds great as always

we are seeing poor reviews from people who obviously do not know what they are talking about. This album, while not as produced (i.e.: the glitz and glamour of many of today's modern artists) is a perfect example of what real soul music is and should be. Whether it's Christmas, Gospel, or RnB classics, this organic and soulful sound is greatly appreciated in today's over-saturated world of autotune and Kanye West.

Her astonishing run of late-'60s hits with Atlantic Records — "Respect," "I Never Loved a Man," "Chain of Fools," "Baby I Love You," "I Say a Little Prayer," "Think," "The House That Jack Built," and several others — earned her the title "Lady Soul," which she has worn uncontested ever since. Yet as much of an international...
