Album Review

Marvin Sapp has repeatedly said that he views himself as a preacher who sings rather than a singer who preaches, but if the truth be known, it is his soulful vocals cutting through the busy, energetic arrangements he favors rather than his praise & worship themes and lyrics that make all of it reverberate and take flight. This set, the second since the death of his wife MaLinda in 2010, features Sapp addressing the holidays with a blend of contemporary holiday songs and gospel standards., Rovi

Great Production

Its good to hear a smoother side of Marvin Sapp and I think this release marks a transition for him to begin exploring the world of praise and worship music. We know he can do gospel so it's exciting to see him begin to expand and show us listeners his other musical and ministerial personalities. Kudos to producer Chip Dixson for adding an element of diversity to this offering!

You're gonna love it!

Something different from Pastor Marvin! But I believe this is the perfect record to play around the house during the holiday season!

His desire to be an artist completely kicked his desire to clearly glorify Christ to the curb. Entertaining R&B but none of it makes me think one second about the holy attributes of Jesus Christ. Joseph's song...really?? The key to Gospel music is the Gospel, music production and artistry guides "Gospel" music these days.
