Homey, Approachable Christmas Songs

I love this set of songs as Christmas music I can sing along to with an upbeat tone. It's not the most authentic Irish music ever, and it's not overly "fancy" but I love it and it's exactly what I look for in Christmas music.

Fun Celtic Christmas Music

The Irish Rovers do a great job spreading Celtic Christmas joy with this fun album. They do a good job capturing both the feel of Celtic music and the spirit of Christmas. Few "Celtic Christmas" albums do as well.

Admittedly, I wasn't a fan of all the renditions but Bells Over Belfast, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, and Christmas in Killarney are all extremely well-executed. Great album!

The Irish Rovers were one of the more popular folk-based singing groups to come out of Ireland in the mid-'60s, although they had to do it by way of Canada. As teenagers, founders George Millar (guitar, vocals, banjo) and Jimmy Ferguson (vocals) were former residents of Northern Ireland, living in Toronto, when they started singing together in 1963, originally for cigarette and beer money.
