About Peter Richard Conte & Philadelphia Brass

Organist Peter Richard Conte has, since 1989, held down the position of Grand Court organist at Wanamaker's Department Store in Philadephia -- a coveted post, as Wanamaker's serves as home to the largest pipe organ in the world. Conte has toured extensively in the United States and in Britain, and leads the choir at S. Clement's Church in Philadelphia. His activities as a recording artist, both as organist and choirmaster, have been widespread, as Conte has recorded for the Dorian, Raven, and Gothic labels. Conte has also transcribed many mainstream classical orchestral works for the organ, and these provide popular concert staples for use in his recitals.
