A classic Christmas Album

I love listening to this album. It just adds joy to the Christmas season when I come across it. My parents played it when I was younger and I have fond memories listening to it while driving around and looking at neighbors' Christmas decorations. I found it again in a gas station in South Carolina as I was on my way home for Christmas break from college. It had been years since I last heard it but when I put that cassette in it was really Christmas for me. My old cassette gave way a couple Christmases ago and now that I have my IPOD I'm rediscovering it all over again. What a tremendous joy to add to the season. Thank You, Mr. Milsap for making this wonderfully warm Christmas CD and thank you I Tunes for carying it. It is quite hard to fine in stores.

Welcome Back!!

I've had this album since Christmas of 1986. It is the BEST Christmas Album in my mix!! "We're Here To Love" is a classic - not simply a Christmas song! I can't imagine anyone NOT enjoying this album - if you like Ronnie Milsap and Christmas!!

Oh My!!

Even with two cuts missing, "The Christmas Medley" and "I'll Be Home For Christmas" this cd is still a wonderful lp, I had to go to Nashville to buy this cd at Ernest Tubb's, kid you not, if i'd known iTunes was going to release it they would have saved me a trip!! On the bright side, I have the deleted tracks on my copy. The one track, "Christmas Thoughts," which is Ronnie reflecting on his ability to express himself through song, should have been dropped for an actual song. Sorry if that stings a little. Ronnie is in fine voice otherwise, "It's Christmas" was a radio hit. The arrangements are more traditional than country, sure some twang is here but really downplayed. This cd was recorded and released in the eighties before the dawn of sonic enhancement, the end result is an analog recording transferred to cd with no remastering as we've come to know the term, this release is a reissue only.
