Transcendental

Christmas music has been defined by relentless consumerism and an excess in saccharine. Bangs is one of the key musicians of the 2000s alongside Kanye West, Radiohead, and Animal Collective in sonically redefining what music can be. With his poetic lyrics, flawless delivery, and angelic harmonies; Bangs is one of the most criminally underappreciated musicians today. Take U To Da Movies was a work of art itself, as he removed the casual misogyny from hip hop to tell a tale of childhood innocence. Meet Me On Da Facebook addressed issues only hinted at by films such as Catfish by telling a touching tale of romance over the internet. With Christmas Story, Bangs has restored faith in a genre that has been converted into crass publicity and easy sales.

Many great songs came out in 2010. However, all of them seem pedestrian in comparison to the masterwork of our boi Bangs. He Took You To Da Movies. He Met You On Da Facebook. And now he wants to tell you a Christmas Story.

Bangs has the power to redefine popular music, and it is up for the consumer to help kickstart a revolution in hip-hop.
