Album Review

This double-disc reissue by Projekt includes Greinke's debut album from 1985 (originally released on his own Intrepid label) along with the newly recorded Cities of Fog 2. Though the original lacks the accomplished sound-layering techniques of Greinke's later work, it possesses an uncanny flair for mood, texture and depth of recording. The new material is in much the same dark ambient vein, thogh "Melt" features some dustbin percussion lines.
