EDITORS’ NOTES

Emotion is always simmering just below the surface on Brave New World, in which the Bethel Music vet delivers original songs in a more confessional mood. She explores the true nature of God on the dreamy, pop-infused “Never See the End” and on the languid, liquid “Pieces.” Over the swelling build of “Heroes,” she encourages us to dance despite our disappointments, and on “The Voyage” urges us to look beyond rough seas, trusting that God has our best interests at heart. It all makes for a mystical, melodic adventure.

Been looking forward to this for a while. Amanda Cook is one of the best songwriters and best voices around. Her heart and passion really comes through her music. This is not just another artist writing cookie cutter songs, this is the creativity of God coming through the heart of a human being.

Be blessed

For the past years I have been blessed by her music! She really leads people into the presence of God.
