Tried & True

The Chacksfield magic touch is never more evident than on this classic. This was a favorite among new parents in the early 1960s and it really stands up quite well today. While the lullaby genre has in general been overplayed as of late this entry has never been equalled . Legend has it that the great actor Charles Laughton had to have this record playing at night so that he could ease into a good nights slumber . Bravo !!!!

Frank Chacksfield (b. May 9, 1914, Battle, Sussex, England; d. June 9, 1995) is a pianist and organist who had a series of hit singles in the '50s, most notably with "Ebb Tide."
