Taylor McCluskey and The MFICs is a band that hails from Los Angeles, California. Taylor McCluskey, Terrence Leclere, Bert Baker Jr, Matt Vogt, Jimmy Hagadone, Cooper Campbell and Sifu Eric Oram have come together to achieve musical greatness. The one and only, mastering artist, Bernie Grundman has helped master their album and put this album on the track to success.

Many other individuals have taken part in helping Taylor and his band succeed.
Melanie Barker, Assistant to the President and Cartage Rentals Manager for Swing House Studios in Hollywood, Ca.

Taylor McCluskey is a Sacramento California born musician who moved to Los Angeles in 2002 to pursue an acting career but things quickly turned around once he found his passion for music. He created the band Maddest of Mad Men in 2008. This band was unable to take off to its full potential and Taylor then created a new phenomena called, Taylor McCluskey and The MFICs. “MFICs” is an abbreviation for Mother F**kers In Charge or for a younger audience it may stand for Madness Fuels Intense Creativity. Taylor McCluskey is the producer, writer, lead guitarist, harmonica player and lead singer for his band but he could not do it alone with out his loyal band members.

Taylor McCluskey and the MFICs, “Climbing the Hill” album, is a fifteen-track album filled with musical creativity and raw sentiment. Produced and created by Taylor McCluskey, the album expresses deep soul and true love. It inspires one to follow his dream and always fight for a goal until it is achieved. The music videos that have been created by this band are phenomenal. Taylor McCluskey is the director and producer of all music videos with help from his loyal band and staff members. The videos reveal the true essence of beauty, love and inspiration. “Buried” is an exceptionally, well made music video that captures the true meaning of dedication and hard work and never letting the business get you down.

Seeing this band live is exhilarating. I could feel the adrenaline rushing through each and every band member. They exuberated passion in their hearts and fire in their eyes, they were ready to take on the stage and conquer another venue. Taylor McCluskey and his band recently played at the infamous Whisky A Go Go and they have played at other venues such as House of Blues, Molly Malone’s Irish Pub, and The Joint. This band will never fail to get a crowd pumped up and leave every one wanting more.

The songs evoke emotions separate from each other. “Woo Hoo” and “Whiskey Moon” are two songs that can get any one on his or her feet and just let loose. “Buried”, “Warm Night In The Cold City” and “Climbing The Hill” are perfect songs to just get your feet off the ground and let a hard day’s work float in to the abyss. “I Will Be Home Soon”, “Kiss Of Forgiveness” and “Losing Her Eyes” are all beautiful ballads that will bring water to your eyes because the lyrics are so powerful and show an honest and compassionate side to the lead singer.

This band is a hybrid of pure rock and mainstream rock. They are the love child of Johnny Cash, Rolling Stones and Kings of Leon, The music is edgy and soothing at the same time yet timeless. This is an album that can be played an infinite amount of times and never get old. I urge you all to buy this album and to tell all you friends about it because it is purchase you will never regret and it will have you rocking out until the day you die.
