Masterpiece

It's been six long years since the last Sawyer Brown album, and some might say the wait was too long. The album that these guys made show that the old statement good things come to those who wait and all the Sawyer fans that have been waiting are rewarded with a masterpiece of an album. I will not give a song by song review cause there all tens in my book. This is the best album I think the guys have ever made!!!!!!

Wonderful CD!

This is great music from a great band. I love Sawyer Brown music and am so happy that a new CD was made!
Brought back memories of seeing them in concert several times....they are still rockin!!

A must have for Sawyer Brown fans!

Hands down - one of the best (if not the best) cd from this band... here's my take....

Deliver Me - Fantastic. This song has been in my head melodically since the sneak preview on Sawyer Brown's web a few days ago. Even though I couldn't remember the words, the melody has played over and over in my brain, seeping in until it feels like an old song already. Lyrically it is both soothing and uplifting, spiritual and relational. Excellent!

Walk Out of the Rain - I'm madly in love with this song. It has such a rich, old-country, George Strait vibe. As a Texas girl at heart, there ain't nothin' better than a George Strait vibe - unless its done by Sawyer Brown. Smooth, two-stepping, hold your partner close kinda country. Gotta love it.

Cool Night - Speaking of smooth - it's like butter on your breakfast toast. When the cd Six Days on the Road came out I was so tingly surprised by how suited the band was to cover This Night Won't Last Forever - Cool Night feels the exact same way.

Ain't Going Out That Way - Lets talk anthem songs. I had heard Sawyer Brown do this live a couple of times and absolutely adored it. I love the whole concept of this song.

Y'all Ready - Yea babeeee! Classic Sawyer Brown. Talk about dancin your donkey off!

Along those same lines, let's include New Set of Tires as classic SB. It easily rivals Race and Some Girls.

Come Along - Ernie Haas and Signature Sound - such a nice touch. I grew up on southern gospel - my dad and grandfather sang in gospel quartets. It's like coming home for me. The vocals layering is rich and textured. If you loved Mission Temple - you'll love Come Along.

And, there simply are no words for Travelin' Band. Most. Amazing. Song. Ever. Period.

One of those rare acts who actually became stars directly from winning Star Search, country-rockers Sawyer Brown wound up enjoying a long, hit-filled career and remained commercially viable into the new millennium. The group originally grew out of country-pop singer Don King's touring band, with guitarist Bobby Randall and drummer Joe Smyth signing on in 1979, and bassist Jim Scholten, keyboardist Gregg "Hobie" Hubbard, and guitarist/future lead singer Mark Miller all arriving in 1980.
