Good to have it back

I had this album back in the 70s and had to part with it years ago, so was excited to see it here on iTunes. For a mellow and relaxing mood, this is a great listen, as Walcott works both sitar and tabla magic with his outstanding trio of friends. I saw Walcott and Don Cherry perform in Bellingham in the late 70s and it was magical; this album brings a lot of that back.

Great Album, Sour Grapes

No question that this album is sublime, at times spectacular. How can you go wrong with a cast like this. Who's the 4th guy in this group, just another virtuoso, Dave Holland. RIP Collin. But gosh ITunes, I purchased this from you guys LESS THAN A MONTH AGO, settling for the "wonderful" 128kbps files. Now if I want the ITunes "Plus" 256 kbps files, I only have to spend $65 to upgrade my "entire library". Sorry, that is STUPID. Apple, you are shooting yourself in the foot. Sure, you were the pacesetter in opening up the world to digital music downloads, but your time is passing. Your monopoly no longer exists. IT'S TIME for "Pick And Choose" ITunes Plus upgrading. You know it, I know it, everyone in the community knows.

iTunes + (plus) upgrades are not an all or nothing proposition. I can choose to upgrade all, or any particular album(s), or even some individual songs - those that are not 'Album Only'. Check again - if it works this way for me, it surely should work this way for you.
Good luck.
As far as this particular album goes ... I got here by clicking links related to Paul Winter. I may have to buy it now, based on the previous reviews. I give it 5 stars in deference to them ... and because of the musicians involved.

Years Active: '70s, '80s

Collin Walcott was one of the first sitar players to play jazz. As a member of Oregon, Walcott's flexibility, interest in different cultures, and ability to play not only sitar but tabla and other percussion instruments made him a very valuable musician. Early on, he studied violin for two years, and played both snare drum and tympani in school. Walcott also studied percussion at Indiana University, and took sitar and tabla lessons with Ravi Shankar and Alla Rakha, respectively. After stints with...
