iTunes Review

Our Lady Peace's scorching sophomore release established the Toronto trio as an alt-rock force to be reckoned with. Building on influences like Smashing Pumpkins and Jane's Addiction, the band blasts through volcanic tracks like the deliciously angst-ridden "Superman's Dead," the lighters-in-the-air power ballad "4am," and the swaggering "Automatic Flowers." The punishing guitar squall, propulsive rhythms, and blazing vocals are all buffed to tuneful big-rock-sound greatness, making Clumsy as immediately likeable as it is fierce.

One of the best Alternative Albums of the 90s

This album really exhibits what the best of modern rock is. From the great opener Superman is Dead all the way to the creepy Car Crash this album is fantastic from top to bottom without ever missing a step. The title track is extraordinary and 4am is one of the best rock ballads I have ever heard. Its true to itself and to the music and a must buy. A great band at its best, which it will stay at for years to come. Best Track-4am Runner Up-Clumsy

Spiritual Machines?

Probably their best.

This CD was the first CD I ever bought, and I love every song. Highly recommended.

They later recruited bassist Chris Eacrett and jazz drummer Jeremy Taggart, and the quartet changed its name to Our Lady Peace in tribute...
