Amazing artist; lackluster debut.

I've been following Queen Of Hearts since Arrival landed a few years ago. I've enjoyed most of her body of work, but I must confess that this debut is quite disappointing.

For example: Like A Drug sounds dated, like something Hollywood Records would churn out for a rebellious Disney tart. It Isn’t Enough starts out nice, but the chores stalls it for me. The other new tracks aren’t more than three-star material, aside from the gorgeous Colourblind -- the stand out of the album. The stuff we have already heard is great, well… expect for Warrior (it really should have been Broken Dreams).

It's puzzling to think that past tracks like Where Are You Now, Broken Dreams and her cover of Spanish Sahara are exquisite, while the new material on this debut is bleak and dare I say it boring.

She’s Amazing

I have to say it grows on you, some tracks are a little lackluster like the previous comment stated. But as an artist she is solid, she’ll get better and better.

Kylie Minogue meets Goldfrapp

Queen of Hearts Cocoon is more a 3.5 stars; but since i don't know how to do half stars i'll round up. I stumbled on this girl because itunes recommended it to me based on my other music. I have purchased 3 of her E.P. and those are all a solid 4 stars. This CD does have 1 tracks from each EP. The sound is like putting Kylie and Goldfrapp together. Electro Pop with a sound of 90's pop of sounds. I would say it's worth downloading.
