potential to be the greatest rock band of the 2000's

It was like AC/DC, Elestica and Motorhead wrote an album together. They have the potential to be one of the greatest rock bands of our time. It's in there somewhere, Code of the Road and City Streets, rips hard. Keep it up guys. God truly blessed you as musicians.

Danko Jones just keeps getting better!

This album rocks. A friend turned me on to Danko Jones a few years back, and I continue to be amazed as they continue to release albums that rock hard from beginning to end, yet no one in the US knows of them. If you like good hard rock with a touch of a punk flair, pick up any Danko album- you will not be disappointed.

The songwriting and musicianship on this album are both incredible. Give a listen to "Forest For the Trees", and you will say, "How can rock radio ignore these guys?". This tune is better than 90% of what radio is spinning today.

"Still In High School", "Code of the Road", and "King of Magazines" are a few of my favorites, but there is not a single track here that I skip over.

Another band worth checking out is Dead Coyote - their debut album, "Where the Water Rises", is phenomenal. One of my favorite purchases of the last year.

If you can find it, Danko Jones released an album called "B-sides" in early 2009. Its not available from iTunes, but if you come across it, grab it. Hard to believe these tracks are b-sides, as this album, too, is strong from beginning to end. If you find it, you will not be disappointed.

Danko Thrills!

These guys are truely the most underrated rock band out there. Never Too Loud is solid, but different than the typical bare bones diesel sound of the previous 4 records. If you like rock & roll with a punk twist, buy 'em all. They don't play much in the U.S. but if you get a chance, see them live. AMAZING! Someone needs to promote these guys in the States. It's a damn shame they fly so far under the radar. Watch out for Below The Belt, out in May!

Named after their bandleader, Danko Jones are a Canadian hard rock trio whose bluesy style is rooted in the tradition of Thin Lizzy and AC/DC and whose popularity in Western Europe compensates for their lack of recognition in the United States. Comprised of band namesake Danko Jones (vocals/guitar), John Calabrese (aka JC; bass guitar), and Dan Cornelius (drums), the band was founded in Toronto, Ontario, in 1996 and made its recording debut in 1998 with a five-track self-titled EP on Sonic Unyon....
