My Week With Marilyn

I found Marilyn's Theme haunting, beautiful and not soon forgotten. It fit her perfect and is the embodiment of Marilyn.

One of the best soundtracks ever!

The music never overpowers the film yet it can stand firmly on its own. Haunting, nostalgic, and greatly provocative. A perfect fit to perfect performances.

Who's the composer???

It's pretty well known that Alexandre Desplat is the one who wrote the main theme (track 1), but according to the booklet, he also wrote tracks 13, 21 and 25. Tracks 6, 7, 9, 12, 16 and 22 are credited to Desplat and Pope together. Pope composed several alone, though they tend to be the dullest. His liveliest pieces (like track 3) are shockingly blatant rip-offs of John Williams' music to "Catch Me if You Can." Too bad the producers just didn't hand the whole job over to Desplat!
