Album of the year

In my humble opinion!

Nehushtan9

One thing I appreciate about Luc Lemay is that he understands that death metal is all about the mood that the music creates. Lemay knows how to experiment with new and refreshing ideas on each album without taking the "death" out of death metal. This is something that other former titans of the genre have failed to do on more recent albums. There is tremendous room for experimentation in death metal, but a certain core element (the mood) must be present, and this is something that Lemay is a master at preserving. I highly recommend this album.

Amazing

There has been a lot of debate as to who started this dissonant brand of death metal, or who draws influence from who. It doesn't matter. This album is for lack of a better word, beautiful. I've never heard a death metal album (or any other genre of music for that matter) which conveys the mood this one does. It's heavy, twisted and dissonantly melodic. This is quite a different progression than what the band was doing 12 years ago (which is still some of my favorite material as far as death metal goes) and what an amazing album it is. Definitely worth the $8.91

The Quebec, Canada-based...
