Customer Reviews

For Arkansas and Beyond

This album exudes Shocked's talent at song writing as well as vocals. She creates a modern swing mood, which carries the album a long way. Come a Long Way and Secret to a Long Life and Prodigal Daughter and Jump Jim Crow especially shine. If your not in to folk please give this a try. The artistry in these songs is worth it.

Great CD

I didn't know about all the controversy but I do know this is a GREAT CD. Filled with Shocked's outstanding songs with a traditional feel, fans of Roots music will love this CD. Come A Long Way, Secret To A Long Life, 33 RPM and Shaking Hands are standout tracks. Enjoy!

Electric and Fun

The review from iTunes is pretty complete except they forgot to give a nod to harmony on Prodigal Daughter - one of Shocked's best songs - to Allison Krauss. Worth downloading.
