7 Songs, 34 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

CentricWorship’s second release features songs composed by five up-and-coming Christian singer/songwriters at retreats in the West and rural South. Come Alive benefits from a scaled-back production approach that gives each artist room to shine. From Jonathan Lee’s hymnlike “Greater Is He” to Corey Voss’ expansive “Worthy Is the Lamb,” these tracks are poetically fervent in their praise of the Savior. Lauren Daigle’s “Come Alive (Dry Bones)” and “You Have My Surrender” stand out for their exalted yet earthy tone. Taken together, the songs offer a fresh and Spirit-reviving take on worship music.

Simply Irresistible!

There comes a time in life when the polished and well constructed music that we have come to enjoy just isn’t good enough any longer…and THEN you stumble across “Come Alive” and you realize that all is good! Sometimes the simpliest approach towards worship is actually the best way to approach the King and these songs will help you do just that. I love the stripped back nature of this project and the way that the artists have tried to get out of the way and allow God to change the atmosphere. The choruses may seem simple, yet you will find their words echoing long after the music has stopped. I can’t wait for the next batch of songs from Centric Worship. As someone who has managed and promoted gospel artists for more than 18 years…this fresh approach spoke to me!

Best Worship Album of 2014

Quality songwriting. Simple arrangements. Singable choruses. Definitely one you want to pick up if you are a fan of worship music. Right now it's on repeat.
