Mostly or entirely remakes intended to rip you off

Many of these are different versions by different artists.

For example, Jose Feliciano had a minor hit with "Light My Fire", but the song was originally by the Doors, and their version is
far more popular.

In other cases, the remakes were never even minor hits. Does anyone really remember Elton John remaking Norman Greenbam's "Spirit In The Sky"? Or White Lion doing Golden Earring's "Radar Love"?

In at least one case, the recording seems to be screwed up. The version of Santana's "Soul Sacrifice" sounds like someone played a 33RPM record at 45RPM.

The Ozark Mountain Daredevils' "Jackie Blue" is a limp remake.

Many of the remakes are done by Blues Image (a 1-hit wonder known for "Ride, Captain, Ride"). Apparently either the band or their record company was really desperate.

A few of these may be the original hits by the original artists. The 30-second sample of "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison sounds
right to me, and Rick Derringer "Rock N' Roll Hoochie Koo" sounds very close to what I remember.

But most of this is junk that is intended to mislead you.

I'd avoid the entire album.

lots of great gems & hard to find classics.
